UF Law students can access the Legal Information Center at any time except during stated University closures using their Gator 1 card to swipe in at the library's front entrance. Access to the library is restricted to current UF Law students and the library's exterior doors are locked at 5 pm Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. For your safety and the safety of your fellow students, please do not leave doors propped open or allow anyone to enter the Legal Information Center without swiping their Gator 1 card. Guests are not permitted even if accompanied by a law student. Every individual in the law library after 5 pm Monday through Friday and during all weekend hours must be a current UF law student and able to show a valid Gator 1 card for identification. If you witness suspicious or inappropriate behavior after hours, please contact the campus police at (352) 392-1111. In case of emergency, dial 911.
The legal research faculty at the University of Florida hold both JDs and master's degrees in library science. Legal research faculty are available Monday through Friday to assist you with any reference questions. Please ask to speak with a reference librarian at the Circulation Desk or contact us via email, chat, or phone to discuss your research needs.
