Technology Competency
In January 2016, the Florida Supreme Court amended the professional responsibility rule pertaining to lawyer competency, including a comment to make clear that competent legal representation includes technological competency. At the same time, the Court imposed a requirement for Florida lawyers to complete 3 hours of technology training per accreditation cycle (i.e., every 3 years).
