Foreign Legal Research

Suggestions to Get You Started

This guide provides a starting point for those who are researching International Intellectual Property Law at UF Law. It is not intended to be a comprehensive International Intellectual Property Law resource.  For that kind of resource, please explore some of the links.

Some suggestions to get you started:

  • Search the online catalog for books that deal with the laws of the country in which you are interested.
  • Although a book specifically on your topic might not be found in the LIC collection, you might be able to find helpful information in a more general resource such as "An Introduction to French Law".
  • Make a list of case citations and then search for the full text of the cases online.
